WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO BALTIMORE?
I came to Baltimore to attend school at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University.
WHY DO YOU STAY?
I stayed because of my incredible network, and all the performing opportunities I wanted to take advantage of. 5 years later – there still are so many.
WHAT GETS YOU UP IN THE MORNING?
What gets me up every morning is usually my dog sitting on my head (no joke!) But really – being able to make art every day, as well as teach it it to others.
DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN YOU OVERCAME AN OBSTACLE. WHAT DID YOU LEARN ABOUT YOURSELF?
One time, I broke one of my lenses during a photo shoot. It was very traumatic and embarrassing. Thankfully, I had borrowed my father’s camera (and subsequently, his lens) that weekend and was able to use it to complete the shoot. It was at that moment that I realized, I can really do this. Thisbeing my photography business. Though I had never used his camera previously, I figured it out – mostly! – and finished the shoot with ease. The photos turned out beautifully.
WHEN OUT-OF-TOWNERS VISIT WHERE IN BALTIMORE DO YOU TAKE THEM?
I love taking out-of-towners to Hampden (hon) and Remington, where Single Carrot Theatre is.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ACTIVITY WITH FRIENDS?
My absolute favorite thing to do with friends is have long, home cooked dinners over a few bottles of wine.
IF YOU HAD A YEAR OFF TO DO WHAT YOU ALWAYS WANTED WHAT WOULD THAT BE?
Travel all over the world with my camera.
FINISH THIS SENTENCE: I SEE A DAY WHEN ______________.
I see a day when I’m photographing the a-list celebrity of the day.
IF BALTIMORE WERE A THEATER GENRE WHAT WOULD THAT BE AND WHY?
Devised theatre. This city changes for me every day, and we all are a part of its growth.
